If you are not using an ITS-managed computer, a download link is available here: In the applications screen, Cisco Jabber will be available for download.
If you are using an ITS-managed device, open the program "Self Service" (this is installed on your OS by default).

Now that you have been given remote access to your VOIP phone, you will need to install the Cisco Jabber software. Step 2: Installing the Cisco Jabber software Once this information is provided to and processed by the ITS Phones team, an account will be created in Cisco Jabber allowing you to access to your VOIP phone. Your technician will need the following information: To request access to Cisco Jabber, please submit a Phone Service Change Request ticket to your TSP/Local Support Technician. Using Cisco Jabber Soft Phone: Step 1: Requesting Access to Cisco Jabber If you are managing several lines, you will need to use the desktop client for Windows or MacOS. Please note - mobile phones will not be able to support management of more than one line.
This software will allow you to access your office VOIP phone remotely, enabling you to make and receive phone calls from your University of Idaho extension. If you are working from home, you will still have the ability to use your office phone by installing Cisco Jabber. The instructions for Windows desktop computer might be enough to get you started on these other operating systems.
